In recent years, my love for the Columbia River Gorge has shifted. It’s not only the big, breathtaking views anymore—it’s the quieter details that keep calling me back. I’m drawn to things like frost resting on a wildflower’s petals, the soft patterns in dried grass, and textures that appear for a moment and then disappear.

These small details are easy to overlook, but to me they feel like the Gorge’s real language—shaped by sunlight, wind, water, and time. As an evolving artist, I try to photograph not just what this landscape looks like, but what it brings out in us: awe, calm, and that unspoken strength nature carries. The kind of feeling you recognize right away, even if you don’t have words for it yet.

For the last decade, I’ve also worked with local clients across the Gorge—including local organizations—creating visual documentation for their projects and materials. This includes coverage for community moments like fundraiser events, always with the same goal: honest images
made with care. READ MORE
